Wild Visitor

So I was sitting on my couch minding my own business when I looked out the window and saw a surprise.

You can see him in the corner of the first pic...behind the leaves of my plant. I did my best to take a couple more pics before he flew off. Needless to say it was the closest I had been to a wild hawk. Wonder if he'll come back.

Hollidaysburg, PA

Took a day trip to Altoona, to do some shopping, and then stopped by Hollidaysburg on the way back and found a neat little park on a hill with some great views.

Harrisburg trip pictures

Went to Harrisburg, PA on Saturday because I'd never been, and went to the Pennsylvania State Museum, which was actually pretty neat. I'm posting pictures of the capital building, and some from the museum.
The museum ones are of some carousel figures made in PA. There's also a statue of a man on a bench that's pretty lifelike and creepy. Overall Harrisburg was a pretty neat city.

Enjoying my camera...too much?

Yeah, more pictures. It snowed yesterday so I was taking some pictures of the snowy State College sites. The first is a red berry bush near my office. The next are just some shots from my parking garage of the surrounding snow covered town.

More pics

Ok, so I really like the camera. It fits in my pocket well, and can take really great pictures without the flash. The following I took at the Dr's office while I was waiting for my allergy shot. The paintings were really interesting, so I figured, hey, I'll see how my camera works in this instance. So I didn't paint the pictures, a Penn State student did.

New camera fun

Ok, so I got a new camera, smaller, more compact, better night picture capability, stability stuff, nice, I think. I just took a few shots of stuff around my apartment playing with settings.
