RennieUnion

So some of the old Rennies from OSU are trying to organize a reunion of sorts for the Spring 2009 Faire. I don't know if I'll be able to attend, but we've all been waxing sentimental and I scanned some of my old pictures from when I did Faire 2001-2003 (the earlier years I have no pics). I'm posting some of the neater ones here. I do want to make a note that I did not take all of these pictures, and in fact I'm not sure who took what, but I figured I'll post them anyways, since they are a bit artistic and fun.

Adventures in Babysitting...er...photoshooting?

Yeah, I know, reminiscing back to the 80s. I walked around, I took pictures. I'm experimenting more with my macro setting on my camera, and it's been working really well. I have a couple long term projects I'm working on, but I don't want to give too much away because they may end up as Christmas presents or something. Anyways, here are some of the pics which I thought were interesting.

Fourth Fireworks

I tried to take some pictures of the Fireworks here in State College on the Fourth of July. They didn't come out great, but some were ok. Figured I'd put the best ones here.

Wild Visitor

So I was sitting on my couch minding my own business when I looked out the window and saw a surprise.

You can see him in the corner of the first pic...behind the leaves of my plant. I did my best to take a couple more pics before he flew off. Needless to say it was the closest I had been to a wild hawk. Wonder if he'll come back.

Hollidaysburg, PA

Took a day trip to Altoona, to do some shopping, and then stopped by Hollidaysburg on the way back and found a neat little park on a hill with some great views.

Harrisburg trip pictures

Went to Harrisburg, PA on Saturday because I'd never been, and went to the Pennsylvania State Museum, which was actually pretty neat. I'm posting pictures of the capital building, and some from the museum.
The museum ones are of some carousel figures made in PA. There's also a statue of a man on a bench that's pretty lifelike and creepy. Overall Harrisburg was a pretty neat city.
